Open mic stand-up comedy happens on Thursday nights at Gruben's Uptown Tap, located in Downtown Plainfield
For her birthday, instead of gifts, this girl asked for people to give her foodstuffs and staples she could then donate to the local pantry. I never would've thought of that as a kid.
This guy in Niles has the local river/woods named after him, and he's been lording over the welfare of both forever, apparently. Nice guy.
St. Baldricks apparently happens around St. Patrick's Day (this year was my first exposure to it), and it centers around getting your head shaved for charity, I guess. This guy doesn't seem too sure about it, though.
While shooting a parade, I came across these people and this house, and for whatever reason, I just liked the way it looked.

Lisa Chesson, silver medalist in Vancouver for the US Women's Hockey team, was brought to her nephew's school as his show-and-tell object for the day, which instantly made all of the other kids' offerings pale in comparison.
I was supposed to photograph this guy in his office (which is in danger of losing a considerable amount of funding if changes are made to the Niles budget), but he declined at the last minute because he didn't want it to seem like he was aggressively campaigning for his office to retain funding. However, during a budget "workshop" later that day, he stated the case for his office anyway, and I still got his photograph. Weird little turn of events.

Was sent to photograph a group of students working on some stained glass...it turned out to be kids painting the windows, which wasn't exactly what I was looking for.
